Director - Christopher Knox

Christopher grew up in Los Angeles and moved to San Francisco in 2005. He is a broadcasting student at San Francisco State University and due to graduate in 2009. 'Adventures with Seth' is his fifth time directing a short format narrative. The first four shorts he directed were 'Wake Up', 'Super Ninja Girl', 'Cube Wars' and 'Double Scotch on the Rocks'. Christopher also works part-time for CBS Interactive as a video editor and sits on the Board of Directors of Associated Students Inc, of San Francisco State University In addition to his film, television and political work, Christopher hosts a weekly radio show on KSFS called 'The Weekly Rant', with a motley crew of pundits including Leigh Wolf, James Kincaid and Michelle Montoya. Together they chew over current events and local, state and national politics.

Producer - Ali Cotrell

Ali graduated with a B.A. in Radio & Television with an emphasis in Video Production from San Francisco State University in June 2008. In school, he co-produced an ad campaign for UCSF Valencia Health Services, which got picked up for air. He also interned at KTVU Channel 2 News during the summer of 2007. He's originally from Moraga, CA and graduated from Miramonte High School in 2002. He also attended Diablo Valley College from 2002-2005, studying Theater. He has produced and associate produced a few short films in the past year, including Online Dating, The Shaddy Doppelganger & The Divine Dialogue. He currently works as an Assistant Editor for Link TV and has also worked on TV shows like MTV's The Real World, NBC's Last Comic Standing and Bravo's Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.

Writer/Actor - Sean Horan

Sean has been an improvisational performer for over a decade, including the East Bay Devil Mountain Improv League, and the Santa Cruz Improv Festival. Sean began writing the first draft of Adventures With Seth in the fall of 2004. Inspiration for much of the script was derived from improvised characters, scenes, and scenarios. Sean continued to write and rewrite the story intermittently on nights and weekends while juggling jobs and continuing school. His background in sound design and audio production can be seen in the script's strong audio emphasis, making it ideal for an online medium. He is currently a Broadcast Electronic Communication Arts (BECA) Major at San Francisco State, General Manager of the Student Radio Station (KSFS Radio), and Senior Representative for Student Government (Associated Students Incorporated). Sean will be graduating in the spring of 2009, with the hopes of continuing into a career with a strong creative emphasis.

Director of Photography - Yasu Higuchi

Yasufumi Higuchi (Yasu) grew up in Fukuoka, a small city on a Southern island in Japan. While earning his BA in Literature from Kumamoto University in Kumamoto, Japan, he traveled to Australia, a trip that helped him learn English and realized his dream of becoming a filmmaker. After attaining an AA from Santa Monica College in Los Angeles, he transfered to San Francisco State University where he will graduate with honors in Spring 2009 with a BA in Cinema. While at SFSU he has been very active in the pursuit of practical training which includes an Internship at San Francisco Government TV where he was an AC and Assistant Editor for Living New Deal Project and Marie Brenner at SF Library: Apples and Oranges. Some films he has worked on are With a Movie Camera - An experimental documentary by Michael Lutman and The Shaddy Doppelganger - By David Adam Seader. He also has helped several independent movies and MFA projects. Yasu continues to work as a DP on the live action web serial "Adventures with Seth" which he greatly enjoys. He has also recently re-shot his own short subject film, "Winter Sea", and is now in post production. He is aiming for a web release of the film in early Spring 2009.

Director of Photography - Michael J. Lutman

Michael Lutman is a graduate of the San Francisco State University's Cinema Department. In Michael's final year, his film "With a Movie Camera," a re-envisioing of Vertov's "Man with the Movie Camera," was chosen as one the ten best films made at the school in 2008. Starting in 2004 as one of the founders of JBM Productions, he has continued to develop small video production companies such as Fuego Creative SF and Fortitude Editorial Nor Cal, as well as continuing to shoot freelance video in order to follow his true passion of becoming a director/cinematographer of feature length films.

Editor/Visual Effects - Chas Petersen

Chas is a 23 year-old SFSU graduate with a BA in Cinema Production. His passions include editing and special effects and he is always eager to take on new projects. Chas currently works as a Business Partner for an Apple retail store where he is able to meet prospective clients and further his knowledge of advanced editing software. Renowned film editor Walter Murch is his biggest inspiration as well as his current film professors Yasha Aginsky and Pat Jackson, who have both given Chas the opportunity and intelligence to continue his path toward a career as a professional editor for film.

Senior Audio Engineer/Sound Designer - Michael Hastings

Michael is an award winning sound designer, location recordist, Foley artist, electronic music composer and music producer. He is the Vise President of the SFSU student chapter of the Audio Engineering Society. With many school projects and a few independent films under his belt, Michael is stepping up in his role as Lead Sound Designer for Adventures with Seth. Michael will be graduating in spring of 2009, but will be working on films and documentaries concurrently with school. Web Site:

Sound Recordist - Chris Hardy

Chris is a Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts (BECA) major at San Francisco State University, concentrating in audio production and sound design. This is the second film project he has worked on. He is also a musician, having played trombone for seven years. Chris is graduating in Spring '09 and hopes to move to a career in sound design while further expanding his musical talents.

Production Coordinator - Lily Hunter

Lily has been organized for years. Some say since birth. She's an organizational mad-woman! She currently works at Stanford University in the Occupational Health Center as an administrative assistant. Her duties include . . .you guessed it! Organizing people! She is currently looking to go back to school for a nursing degree. She has no film or theater background. She was brought on board due to her crazy love and passion for the brilliant writer behind Adventures with Seth.

Costume Designer - Olivia Griffin

Olivia is currently at San Francisco State University diligently pegging away at her three majors: Drama with a Costume Design emphasis, Dance Performance, and Apparel Design. Other passions include but are not limited to acting, cooking, producing, and singing western songs (4 more majors?). She started a production company in the summer of 2008 called SuperFragileCatalytic Productions and produced and acted in its first venture Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train. SuperFragileCatalytic Productions encompasses not only theatre and dance, but themed events and free art classes. Olivia works as stage manager and costume designer for C.A.F.E.’s annual production of Santaland Diaries at Off-Market Theatres. For her latest project she recently choreographed and costumed a fifteen minute circus dance for SFSU’s New Moves Choreography Showcase which was received extremely well by its audience to write, choreograph, and direct future ideas that inspire many. Public Relations Manager/Props - Ashley Soares

Ashley graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Cinema Studies in May 2008. Her passion for the art of film and its exhibition have lead her to volunteer and intern for various bay area film festivals and to become more involved in independent productions. Ashley will be returning to work with the San Francisco Film Society as a Publicist for the 52nd San Francisco International Film Festival while continuing to work on Adventures with Seth episodes in her free time. AwS is the biggest production she has had the privilege of being part of.
